Houndstooth Bourette Silk Tie in Burgundy Red Cream - Fort Belvedere

1. Fabric. The bourette silk used for this tie has character and strong texture that is somewhat similar, yet different than shantung. Naturally, silk has different thicknesses and for bourette, it is desirable to have distinctly different yarns so you get a wonderful texture. 

We had it woven in a slightly oversized houndstooth that works well with all striped, Glencheck, solid or pinpoints and needle head suit patterns. 

The classic colors of Burgundy Red and Cream are tied together with dark contrast and produce a unique and sophisticated look.

Exclusively woven for Fort Belvedere in Italy on heirloom looms, you will not find this fabric anywhere else.

2. Classic Pattern Reinvented. While traditional houndstooth, dogtooth or pepita ties and either printed or jacquard-woven in a smaller pattern, this bourette silk necktie adds a lot more character and texture not matter whether it is paired with a business suit, sportscoat or casual tweed jacket.
